Sally A. Shingler, 81, formerly of Reedsville, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday September 17, 2020 at Valley View Haven Memory Care.
Born July 31, 1939 in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late William Wilber and Margaret Rose (Russler) Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband F. Thomas Shingler in 2017, and a sister, Donna Snook. Sally’s sister, Nancy M. Aumiller passed away on Sunday September 27, 2020.
Sally is survived by her children, Scott Shingler and wife Robin and Michele Hetzel and husband Richard, all of Bucks Co., and Cathy Barkee of Oregon; siblings, Audrey Michaels, and Josephine “Lucy” Magda, Grandchildren, Ryan Hetzel and wife Julie, Morgan Termyna and husband Edward, Shelby Hetzel, Garrett Shingler and wife Jillian, Casey Kozub and husband Richard, Chase Shingler, and Max Barkee; and Great-Grandchildren, Everly Hetzel, Kimber Shingler, Austin Hetzel, Colt Shingler, Eddie Termyna, and Maverick Kozub.
Sally was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church.
Sally was a wonderful wife to Tom for 61 years and together raised 3 children. She loved to cook and bake and take care of her family. Spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loving sisters. Sally also liked traveling with Tom across country in their motorhome. She enjoyed writing Poems, working on puzzles, reading and searching for treasures at flea markets also occasionally tickling the ivories.
A memorial service in loving Memory of Thomas and Sally Shingler will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 14, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3597 W Main St., Belleville PA 17004, with Pastors Ela Robertson and Rick Bender to officiate. Their family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
