Robert Peter Postal, Sr., 94, of Kulpmont, passed away on Sunday November 21, 2021 at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.
Born January 27, 1927 in Kulpmont, he was the son of the late Victor and Martha (Scalet) Postal. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Claire (Bronkoski) Postal; and siblings, Anna Spears and Albert Postal.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert P. Postal, Jr. and wife Valerie, of Lewistown and Jeffrey J. Postal, of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Robyn Batz and husband Ryan, of New Fairfield, CT, Monica Dinsdale and husband Jesse, of Oelwein, IA, Adam Postal and wife Krista, of Miami Shores, FL, Brent Postal and wife Jessica, of Bangor, PA, Laura Postal, of Ankeny, IA, Marisa Postal, of Davenport, IA, and James Postal, of Altoona, IA; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Barrett Batz, Sayler Trogdon, and Landon Postal; and siblings, Alma Alexicko, of OH, and Eleanor Clouser, of NJ.
Robert was enlisted in The United States Army, honorably serving his country during World War II in the Signal Corps.
He was a member of The Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Kulpmont. A lifetime member of The East End Fire Company, and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his cat “Bitty”, watching Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball, and Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football. He always enjoyed having a beer with his family and friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 4, 2021 at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont, PA 17834-1811 with Rev. Andrew Stahmer to officiate. There will be a visitation held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Marion Heights.
