Ralph A. “Sonny” Guinivan, 87, of McAlisterville, went to be with his Lord and Savior due to complications of Covid-19 on Saturday March 20, 2021, at Epworth Manor Senior Living Center, in Tyrone.
Born May 7, 1933 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Ralph T. and Elizabeth (Dukes) Guinivan. His wife of fifty years, Violet G. Guinivan preceded him in death on July 6, 2020.
Ralph was a veteran of the Korean War and is survived by his daughter; Lisa Shellenberger and husband Mike, of New Cumberland; step-children, Martin E. “Jake” Druckemiller, Jr. and wife Kim, of Mifflintown, Daniel M. Druckemiller and wife Kimbra, of Lewistown, Steven Druckemiller and wife Kathryn, of Seneca, Brian E. Druckemiller and wife Tracy, of Milroy and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters; Esther Louder and Alta Cupper.
In his early years, he was employed by Fisher Electronics. Later he was employed by the 3M Corporation and Owens Brockway in New Jersey. He retired from Empire Kosher.
Ralph loved camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and just being outdoors. A Lutheran by faith, Ralph followed the Remington Ryde band and loved singing along with blue grass and gospel bands.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
