Obituary

Nicole S. Smith, 54, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday September 5, 2020 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born November 11, 1965, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Judy Snook and step-father Robert Snook and the late Gary Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was also sur-vived by her husband Mark McKay, of Lewis-town; Children, Joshua, Lucas, and Taylor McKay; and a sister, Joelle Gilbert and husband Thad of Belleville.
Nicole was employed as a caseworker, and in her free time, she enjoyed shopping, crafts and traveling to the beach.
A visitation will be held Sunday September 13, 2020 from 6-7pm at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. & Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
Why? ~ It seems to be the question that’s always asked when a loved one is taken too soon. Why now? Why them? Why us? An-swers come in many forms. It’s their time. Or maybe it’s random. Perhaps it’s His plan. But still, the question remains. Why?
Our world is quieter now. The infectious laughter has ended. Our world is dimmer now. The incredible brightness has dulled. But what remains are the years we had with her, as a daughter, a sister, a partner, a mother and a friend. Those years are ours to keep, to remember as long as we are able.
There are no words that can describe the love, laughter and happiness that we shared together.
None of us truly know the whole answer. But it certainly was worth getting to the ques-tion.
Arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
