Obituary

Linda Burry Harpster, 60, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:52 a.m. on Wednesday April 8, 2020 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born June 8, 1959 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, she was the granddaughter of the late Jacob and Gladys Burry, and the daughter of the late Elsie Burry.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Harpster, whom she married on October 10, 1981; Children, Matthew Harpster, and wife Lisa, of Chandler, Arizona, and Michele Rydborn, and husband James, of Miami, FL; Siblings, Lillian Myers, and husband Jon, of Lewistown, Michael McVicker, Jr., of Harrisburg, Denise Smith and husband Lee, of Lewistown, Danielle Williams and husband Stacey, of Lewistown; Grandchildren, Preston and Miles Harpster, and Odin Rydborn, and step-father, Michael McVicker
Linda was employed as a secretary at The Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. She loved to travel, and most of all, spend time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. & Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s memory are respectfully encouraged to: The Ronald McDonald House, 745 W. Governor Rd, Hershey, PA 17033, or The Lymphoma Research Foundation, 88 Pine Street, Suite 2400, New York, NY 10005.
