Gerald R. Spigelmyer
Gerald R. Spigelmyer, 91, formerly of McClure, passed away on Saturday September 5, 2020 at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home.
Born June 20, 1929, in Wagner, he was the son of the late William John and Esta (Himes) Spigelmyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Violet Snook, Shirley Ewing, Kirby Spigelmyer, and Lee Spigelmyer.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Lois D. (Ulsh) Spigelmyer, whom he married on September 7, 1957; his daughter, Laura Warner, and husband Terry, of Natrona Heights; Grandchildren, Ross Warner, and wife Colleen, Kyle Warner, and wife Arla; Great-Grandsons, Samuel and Elliott, and a brother, Darrell Spigelmyer.
He was enlisted in The United States Army, serving in the Korean War.
Gerald was a lifetime member of Wagner United Methodist Church where he was very active in numerous roles. Earlier in life, he was employed by The Arrow Shirt Factory, and later retired from Overhead Door. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, tending to his fruit trees, and entering his produce in local fairs.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. & Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
