Gary Lee Sollers, 66, of McVeytown, passed away on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born September 24, 1954 in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Gerald J. and Betty J. (Snyder) Sollers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ronda Austin.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Rose (Kratzer) Sollers, whom he married on December 1, 1973; Children, Chastity Cramer and husband Randy, of McVeytown, Angela Rhodes and husband Eric, of Juniata Terrace, and Jason Sollers and companion Christina Sipes, of McVeytown; Siblings, Gerald Sollers, Wayne Sollers and wife Dora, all of McVeytown, Jerry Sollers and wife Joy, of Burnt Cabins, and Judy Varner and husband Luke, of McVeytown; Grandchildren, Chelsea Cramer, Abigail Treaster, Kaitlyn Cramer, Madison Cramer, Eric Rhodes, Jr., Evan Rhodes, Curtis Sollers, and Makayla and Harley; and Great-Grandchildren, Gracie Pearce, and Ava Hulcher.
Gary was employed at Overhead Door for 46 years retiring in 2018. Gary was a Christian man, he was a loving and devoted husband and father. He enjoyed watching and attending nascar races, and games of his favorite sports teams with friends and family. He loved being outdoors,he enjoyed cookouts in the summer and hunting with his son and family members. More than anything, Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply and sadly missed by all who loved and knew him.
