Eleanor F. Harkness, 91, formerly of Milroy, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at William Penn Nursing and Rehabiliation Center.
Born September 20, 1927 in Milroy, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Stella (Kearns) Hile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Harkness, a brother, William Hile and a son-in-law Glenn Knepp, Sr.
Eleanor will be remembered and missed by her loving daughter, Susan Faye Knepp, of Lewistown, her sister, Nancy Crissman of Milroy, Grandchildren, Glenn Knepp, Jr. and wife Kathy, of Yeagertown, Darrel Knepp and wife Stephanie, of Huntingdon, 2 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Granchildren.
Eleanor was a member of Watts Memorial United Methodist Church, in Belleville.
Per her wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eleanor’s memory are respectfully encouraged to: Watts Memorial United Methodist Church, 16 Walnut Street, Belleville, PA 17004.
