Clare V. Richard, 91, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at her home.
Born December 5, 1928 in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (LeCompte) Hickman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Alvin E. Richard, whom passed away in 2016; her son-in-law, Gary L. Wagner, and a step-grandson, Gary Lee Wagner, Jr.
Clare is survived by her loving children, Sandra Wagner, and Lamar Richard and wife Tammy, all of Lewistown; siblings, Della Rae Goss, of NJ, Robert Hickman, of Martinsburg, PA, and Mary Jane Strauser, of Vira; 5 Step Grandchildren and 18 Step Great-Grandchildren.
Clare was a member of Maitland Church of the Brethren, where she was involved in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and The Women’s Work quilting group. She was also a member of The Granville Grange.
A funeral service in loving memory of Clare will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. & Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown with Rev. Charles Eldredge officiating. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in Maitland Cemetery.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Clare's Family. She will be missed so much. We love her and send our prayers. Her memories will forever be kept close to our heart. She was such a beautiful person and now she has moved on to Paradise to continue her journey in life. One day we will see each other again.
