Belle Anne Lukens, 72, of Lewistown, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 13, 1947 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Marian (Myers) Bulick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bulick.
Belle will be remembered and missed by her loving husband, Charles W. Lukens, Sr., whom she married on September 21, 1968, her children, Charles W. Lukens, Jr., and wife Tara, of Thompsontown, Daniel M. Lukens, of Lewistown, and Christopher J. Lukens and wife Farrah, of Reedsville, a sister, Beverly Markley, and husband Joseph of Mcveytown, and Grandchildren, Evan and Eayn Renninger, Abbygail, Ellie, Makenzie, Mekenna, and Maelynne Lukens, Robert Reich, Heather Corkins, and Curtis Lukens, and Rylee Long, Leland Lehman, and a special baby.
Belle was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ In Lewistown.
Earlier in life, Belle was employed at Rea & Derick Drug Stores in Lewistown, while attending beauty school. After graduation, she was employed as a beautician for 16 years, where she was a partner in “Mert and Belle’s Beauty Salon.” Later, she went on to become a CNA at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home. In her free time, Belle loved to knit, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her dogs, Cece and Ziggy, and enjoyed taking trips to Dunkin Donuts with her lifelong friend, Karen Tomlinson.
A funeral service in loving memory of Belle will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday August 5, 2019 at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown, with Pastor Craig Munnell to officiate. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday August 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Belle’s memory are respectfully encouraged to: Rescue Our Furry Friends, 133 N. Walnut Street, Burnham PA 17009.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your dear Belle. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet her but I'm certain she was a wonderful companion and soul mate. Please accept my sincere condolence.
