Obituary

Arthur C. “Art” Nause, 78, of Reedsville, passed away at 6:56 p.m. at his home on Tuesday April 28, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Born June 26, 1941 in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Victor and Mary (Teeter) Nause. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Troutman and Renee Reichley.
Art is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Dippery) Nause, whom he shared 48 years of marriage with. Also surviving are: Children, Thomas McClellan, of Reedsville, and Nathan Nause and wife Felissa, of Austin, TX; his sister, Ruth Sacona, of Middletown, grandchildren, Trent and Levy Nause, and his special brothers-in-law, who raised him, Harry Sacona, of Middletown, and Ned Troutman, of Ocean View, DE.
Art was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
He had a lifetime career in retail management, lastly working at JC Penney’s, where he considered his co-workers his second family. He was an avid Steelers and Penn State fan, he loved playing cards, going to the beach, and visiting and collecting lighthouses. He loved his favorite “buddy”, his dog, Gidget, and also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. & Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arthur’s memory are respectfully encouraged to: Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
